1. Who we are

FocusJourney is run by Marvin Krosse, Birkenweg 10a, 85459 Berglern (“we”). You can reach us at offscroll.development@gmail.com. Full details are in the imprint.

2. What FocusJourney is

FocusJourney helps you spend less time on social media and more time studying. You set goals, check in every day, study in the study room and collect points, stamps and virtual trips.

FocusJourney is free. It is currently in a test phase (beta): features can change, and things may not always work perfectly.

Points, stamps and trips are part of the game. They have no monetary value, can't be exchanged for money or goods and can't be transferred. Virtual trips are not real travel.

3. Who can use FocusJourney

You must be at least 16 years old. Each person may have one account. Please give a real email address that belongs to you.

4. Your account

Keep your password to yourself and choose one you don't use anywhere else. If you think someone else has access to your account, change your password and tell us.

5. Playing fair

FocusJourney runs on trust: you enter your own minutes, and nobody checks your phone. Honest days earn points too, and points you earn honestly are never taken away.

You agree not to:

• access FocusJourney with bots, scripts or other automated tools, or read out data in bulk
• attack, overload or try to get around the security of FocusJourney
• use other people's accounts or try to see their data
• use FocusJourney for anything illegal

If points come from technically manipulating the service (not from honest check-ins), we may remove them. If someone seriously breaks these rules, we may block or delete their account.

6. Not a medical service

FocusJourney is a motivation tool, not a medical or therapeutic service. If you feel that your phone or social media use is seriously affecting your life, please talk to a doctor, a counselling service or someone you trust.

7. Availability

We work to keep FocusJourney running, but as a free service in beta we can't promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may change, pause or end features. If we shut FocusJourney down, we will tell you in advance so you can download your data.

8. Liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an obligation that is essential for using FocusJourney, and then only for the typical damage that could be foreseen. Otherwise our liability is excluded.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using FocusJourney at any time and delete your account in your passport. We may end the contract with two weeks' notice, or immediately for an important reason, such as a serious breach of section 5.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we tell you at least four weeks before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then. We will point this out when we tell you about the change.

11. Privacy

How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.

12. Final provisions

German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. If one provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain valid.
